Pregnancy

Pregnancy was a crazy 9 months for me. The first 4 months me and your daddy planned a wedding that was beautiful :) And perfect because I was marrying him! A month after we got married we bought a house in Monroe, La, so moving and cleaning and painting became a huge routine in our lives until our house got perfect for you to come home to. In the 6th month, my daddy (Grant's poppa) passed away unexpectedly. It was such a huge tragedy for me. My daddy would have loved Grant just as much as I do. He was so excited when he found out he was going to have a grandbaby. He told me he was going to have to start hanging out with our baby cousin Eli more often so that he could learn to change diapers and become the best poppa ever! He was the most important man in my life for 23 years. He worked offshore every other two weeks, and the week before he passed away your daddy and I decided we would name our baby "Grant." We never got the chance to tell him our name decision but regardless he would have loved it. When he passed away everyone was so worried that I would be so sad and wouldn't take care of my baby. But I knew that I had to grieve in a way that allowed me to still be healthy for Grant to grow in my tummy. I know this story will sound crazy to people but I promise it is a true story... At my dad's funeral, we were sitting directly in front of the casket. I got so overwhelmed with my sadness that I couldn't sit still any longer. I stood up and walked to Will and just fell in his arms and I remember opening my eyes and the first thing I saw was the name "Grant" in big letters to the left of me ( seriously, a head stone says GRANT in big letters). But as soon as I saw our baby's name I knew that God had placed my baby in my life for so many different reasons. And I knew that I had to breathe and take care of myself so that I could be as important to y baby as my daddy was/still is to me. And for the remainder of the pregnancy Will and I just concentrated on our relationship and getting the house ready for our beautiful baby boy.
:) Sweet baby~
